The Ultimate in Babywearing...

is to wear both of your babies at once! O was on my back in the Beco while E was relaxing in my pouch style sling. I love both the sling and Beco and use them all the time. I'm so glad that E is finally big enough for the Beco! I love the sling, but the Beco is much more comfortable when I'm wearing her for longer periods of time. She's still small enough that I can wear her for 2 or more hours in the sling comfortably. O also still fits in the sling, but only for short periods of time :)

  2. Wow, I can't believe she fits on your back! My 40+ pound three year old would kill my back!

  3. beautiful photo, do you need help getting "O" on, or does she crawl up and help you do it?

VEry neat, I would do this in a heart beat! I wore my babies in slings, loved it.

  4. I haven't done this very much, but O was super excited so we may be doing it more often :) I get O on first. She stands on the bed, and I stand in front of her and she gets on my back. I strap her in, and then put the sling on and put the baby in. The beco puts the weight on my hips, so it doesn't hurt my back even though O weighs around 37 pounds. The beco really is a lifesaver :)

  5. Very cute photo! I did that once, but it wasn't long before my back started to hurt. (I think I made it a 1/4 mile before I realized that I never want to do that again!

  9. so cute, I love babywearing... though my two youngest were too busy, that they didn't ever stay there too long. I remember with a few of the older A's babywearing, was the only way I got anything done!!! I wish I would have taken a cute photo like that!

  13. Great picture. I have never worn two children at once. I have carried one while wearing a baby and that gets old quickly. Glad it works for you. Also, thanks for all of your great ideas.

  18. have you ever tried the ergo? It looks a lot like the beco, but you can use it front, back, side, and like a sling from newborn to 40 pounds. Of all the backpacks/slings I've tried, it's by far my favorite.

  19. Wow--just, officially, wow! My boys were too wiggly for that, so the closest I ever came to your feat was 10kg of one-year-old on the front, and a 10kg bag of rice in a backpack on my back walking home from the store. At least it was balanced:))
