A New Sensory Experience for Baby...

lying on her back in the grass...she was not impressed! I was surprised by how aversive this experience was for her. She cringed and got up as quickly as she possibly could. She didn't cry, but she acted like this was just a terrible experience. However, she doesn't mind crawling in the grass, and she's always trying to eat it!

My oldest wouldn't set foot on sand at the beach for years. He *hated* it. Now, of course, he's a beach/sand junkie.

What a cute face, and so descriptive! Both my babies have made similar expressions when placed on the grass.

Awww such a sad face! I love the new photo of your girls in the banner, by the way. So cute!

Love doing that with my two little ones. You should try laying her on the grass where she has leaves close to her face and something to look at. Sometimes the distraction can help them get use to the grass quicker. Just a suggestion.

My oldest hated lying in the grass when he was a baby too.

Tee hee, that is so cute, although I do feel a little bit sorry for her. :)

grass definitely feels weird when you lay on it! I don't blame her one bit!

My daughter was the same way, except she wouldn't even crawl or sit!
