This is such a great idea and something I have never seen before! The children I work with are far too young for this but I love the idea of writing on the beans. This opens endless possibilities of putting letters, numbers and even tiny pictures on beans.

My students are fifth graders. This would be fun to have the bag full of beans with grade level vocabulary words. Each student reach in a get 5 beans (any number) that they will have to construct sentences for. Just a thought!
