I've been coveting the Montessori colour-shades (third box, I think) activity for DD who is WAY beyond the basic colour activities - she's known all her colours pat since about 18mo.

But the box is expensive and I prefer to make stuff at home when feasible... and the idea of printing out all those colours and cutting and laminating all that work just did NOT seem feasible lol...

But this is cheap, easy, neat, practical, I'm off to Home Depot!motherbynaturehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13129202609817713213noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7536964614643414021.post-41269980469308829862009-02-09T19:12:00.000-05:002009-02-09T19:12:00.000-05:00okay, wow! simple and beautiful! kudos!!okay, wow! simple and beautiful! kudos!!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7536964614643414021.post-33249809947755570112009-01-31T17:46:00.000-05:002009-01-31T17:46:00.000-05:00This is genius! However, we never have enough room for everything. Our house is small and has very little storage. I just put things wherever I can find a place. I'm hoping to get more organized if only I can find the motivation. If I do, I'll take a picture :)

Jamie- I also use the over the door shoe organizers. I have them over every door possible, and I really need to organize them because they are getting junky :)Melissahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08382299215040850847noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7536964614643414021.post-19237676088624869472009-01-27T15:58:00.000-05:002009-01-27T15:58:00.000-05:00Oops, I meant blues and purples, not blues and red...Oops, I meant blues and purples, not blues and reds! Each sample looks like a Mickey head, with only one shade on each card. I chose several shades of each color and put them in a basket. My littles ones like to sort them by color. It's interesting because some of the yellows and oranges or blues and reds could be interpreted as different colors. My son might put a card under orange, while my daughter would put it under yellow. I really teaches them how colors relate to one another. Love the activity, thanks!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13841297851874457415noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7536964614643414021.post-65183337419992753762009-01-26T20:34:00.000-05:002009-01-26T20:34:00.000-05:00I love this idea! I'd love to see your method.

We have over the door shoe holders that are PERFECT for markers, pieces, etc. But I still need many more ideas. I feel like I have so much stuff for so many projects. :)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7536964614643414021.post-58251832403018083322009-01-26T19:42:00.000-05:002009-01-26T19:42:00.000-05:00Hi Melissa, hope all is well with you.Just wanted ...Hi Melissa, hope all is well with you.
Just wanted to let you know that I nominated your blog for an award. But at 21 months Esme has a hard time with the clothespins - she can't even get them open yet... So she just matches the clothespins up, I pin them on, and she takes them off again...Mozi Esmehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16078786257885681829noreply@blogger.com
