We were doing tie-dye up at the lake and I couldn't find plain white tee shirts. But I did find white pillow cases, on sale too! So we tie-dyed them and then I made the dresses from there. They came out adorable. I even used the ribbon to trim along the bottom too.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7536964614643414021.post-54112242583866617502009-06-30T11:17:18.474-04:002009-06-30T11:17:18.474-04:00Thanks for the link! I'm glad you didn't let one bad apple ruin it for you. Cute girly projects like this make me wish Seth could wear a dress! Hope you have a great trip.Amyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09556565629104799317noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7536964614643414021.post-25123082804135070832009-06-29T23:57:21.890-04:002009-06-29T23:57:21.890-04:00I've been waiting for my 3 mo old to be "...I've been waiting for my 3 mo old to be "big enough" for a pillow case dress... I only have one and she's set on dresses for the next two years. Something I've found I like is hand sewing the neck of the dress to the ribbon so it stays in place and keeps "wrinkled" in the middle. AND I cut mine out to be in an A-line instead of straight down. The more you make these, the quicker you will get :) Great dress!KJhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03586557984772275628noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7536964614643414021.post-2193151503862766112009-06-29T20:50:12.425-04:002009-06-29T20:50:12.425-04:00That is ADORABLE!!That is ADORABLE!!The Activity Momhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12788304617117189651noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7536964614643414021.post-76262707614630008912009-06-29T19:53:39.370-04:002009-06-29T19:53:39.370-04:00I love it, I think I will be making a trip to the ...I love it, I think I will be making a trip to the fabric store tomorrow.
Well, actually I was going to go look for the Steam a seam anyway...
You have me on a roll!
Beautiful dress though, you have a lucky girl:)Montessori Momentshttp://mymontessorihomeblog.blogspot.com/noreply@blogger.com
