Then I moved the tape, retaped them, and painted the blue sections. It was quite time consuming, but it turned out well :)Melissahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08382299215040850847noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7536964614643414021.post-31819510475629779402008-09-08T04:53:00.000-04:002008-09-08T04:53:00.000-04:00It just occurred to me to do it like this:make the...It just occurred to me to do it like this:

make the 10 rod first, then the 9 rod and the 1 rod together so that they line up exactly with the 10 rod. then proceed like that. It's still a lot of work, but that way it should come out exact.shakesrearhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08613680461404557196noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7536964614643414021.post-15183255802361611512008-09-08T04:49:00.000-04:002008-09-08T04:49:00.000-04:00I'm going to make my own number rods too. Did you cut them all before sanding them and painting them? or did you do one whole one and measure it exactly before making another whole one?shakesrearhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08613680461404557196noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7536964614643414021.post-47392189704871220642008-09-02T09:35:00.000-04:002008-09-02T09:35:00.000-04:00great job! i'm just using re dand blue snap cubes ...great job! i'm just using re dand blue snap cubes for now till i know she likes them!Gidget Girl Readinghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08608212322775924487noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7536964614643414021.post-11688932794407585752008-09-02T00:06:00.000-04:002008-09-02T00:06:00.000-04:00Oooh I am also lost in this Montessori stuff, but ...Oooh I am also lost in this Montessori stuff, but I want to learn all that I can. Check it out if you get a chance. I'm not planning on introducing O to the number rods for quite a while because she's not at that stage yet. I wish I had a good, well-educated answer to your question, but I'm just learning, too :) I've ordered another Montessori book (that I'm hoping to get tomorrow), so hopefully, I'll know more very soon!Melissahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08382299215040850847noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7536964614643414021.post-2599171095546128202008-09-01T17:10:00.000-04:002008-09-01T17:10:00.000-04:00is there any reason why one couldn't use these rod...is there any reason why one couldn't use these rods for the maze that you do with the red rods?
Wht the need for both sets if they are the same size?
Please forgive me if these are stupid questions ~ I'm pretty new to this Montessori stuff.....

thanks!the mommahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06442659609532682275noreply@blogger.com
