I have an 18 month old and we have been following Glenn Doman's methods, I had never heard of this method until now.... I was looking for ideas for activities that he and I could do during the day, and your blog is chalk-full of great ones. Thanks for posting!Seth and Kara Farnsworthhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04070298739737169673noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7536964614643414021.post-35580624362729090332009-01-23T18:38:00.000-05:002009-01-23T18:38:00.000-05:00I've been checking your blog for a while now. I think it comes from playing so much with her older cousin who is also her best friend :) O will also probably go to a Montessori school...maybe next year or maybe when she's 4.

Miss Muffin- Go Fish is basically a matching game. Each player has 5 cards (the other players aren't supposed to see your cards, but we show them to each other since O is just learning). You ask the other player for a card, for example I'd say "O do you have an m?" and she says "No, I don't mama. Go fish!" Then I'd draw a card from the pile. The object is to make matches of all of your cards, and the first person to get rid of their cards is the winner. Although, at this age, we don't emphasize winning...just having fun :) I hope that make sense.

Sarah- We started playing games a few months ago, I guess. Although, it's actually been a while since we started playing memory. That was her first game. She also loves Zingo, Keep it Steady, Animal Soundtracks, Seek & Find Puzzles, Crocodile Rocker, and Go Fish.Melissahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08382299215040850847noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7536964614643414021.post-80308471499150949372009-01-23T12:42:00.000-05:002009-01-23T12:42:00.000-05:00When did she start playing games? I just started reading your blog and I am amazed at all of the activities she can do and what she is interested in. My girl is four and she is just starting to sit for board games. I never conisered card games, but now I'm going to look into some for her. I am a single-parent who works full time as a teacher, so it's hard to do everything I'd like to do with her. You have given me a lot of inspiration to try different things with her. I would have loved to homeschool her, as I am a teacher myself...such a sad irony...I hope to send her to Montessori school next year when she begins kindergarten.CynthiaAvaDevtahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12411292705777524259noreply@blogger.com
