Yardwork

O loves to help with yard work. Today when dh and I got home from work, she was very excited to help shovel dirt and then ride in the wheelbarrow. After that we had fun feeding the ducks in the lake. We had to do lots of coaxing to get the ducks to come close enough to eat the bread, but they finally ate a little bit of it. We are hoping they'll be braver tomorrow.

Watching the Rain

Its been a rainy day, but O and I have enjoyed it. After watching the rain for a while she decided to sweep the water off the glider. I gave her a cloth and showed her how to dry it, and that worked much better. She also enjoyed drying her baby stroller.

Filling the Bird Feeder

Grandpa gave us some bird food this weekend, so we filled our bird feeder today. It was a beautiful day, but it was very windy. O insisted on wearing a "at," and she was excited to be wearing her cousin, Marg's, hand-me-down dress and shoes.

Smelling the Flowers

O loves to pick and smell flowers. What fun!

Feeding the Geese

When I went outside to shake the rug this morning, I saw 4 geese in the lake right by our house. O and I hurried outside with a bag of bread to feed them. We tried to feed the ducks yesterday, but they flew away too fast so we were excited that the geese kept coming closer and eating our bread. O had a great time throwing the bread into the water, and we are hoping we'll see some ducks when she wakes up from her nap.

Watching the Squirrels

O and I spent a long time this morning sitting in the grass watching a squirrel family. The mama squirrel was trying to coax her 4 babies into playing in the grass. They were a little scared and kept running back up the tree. We talked about what the squirrels were doing and had a great time watching them. O was entranced!
