A Couple More Chalkboards

I had leftover plywood and paint, so I made a couple more chalkboards yesterday. They are smaller than the original one, and I'll put one of them on our deck next to O's new playhouse (I'll post about this soon, I hope!). The 2nd one is for my niece. You can't really tell in the picture, but the border is aqua. I hope the girls like them!

  3. Shannon- Good idea to make it magnetic!

Nicole- It very easy! Buy a piece of treated (if you plan to keep it outside) plywood. Sand it if needed. Prime it with Kilz. It took 2 to 3 coats for mine. Then paint it with 2 coats of chalkboard paint. I taped off the edges with masking tape, so I would have a border. Let me know if you try it!
