Our 1st Sewing Project...
on my new sewing machine! Guh-guh and Grandpa gave me a sewing machine for Christmas. Our 1st project was an easy one...a blue satin pillowcase for O. She loved my "shiny" pillowcase at my mom's house (my satin pillowcase from when I was little), and since I had the satin, we thought this would be an easy 1st project.

ReplyDeletewhen my daughter turned 2 we had read a birthday tradition somewhere that you should buy a pillow on your birthday (to remember to change you pillow often to protect from allergies/asthma etc) and we thought that was a funny/cute tradition...
so I bought my 2 year old a pillow with satin case... but she wouldnt sleep on it!! her pillow was pretty squished and used... she just didnt like the pillow or the satin.. oh well...
Oh, I love it! I had a satin pillowcase growing up, too. Now that I think about it, our little princess-loving girl would ADORE a "shiny" pillow. I'll have to talk to my mom-in-law about it, though, since I, unfortunately, don't sew.
