An Easy Handmade Bubble Blower

O and I recently made a bubble blower out of straws and tape. We gathered a bunch of straws together and wrapped a piece of masking tape around them to hold them together. That's it! We dipped it in the bubble solution, blew, and made hundreds of tiny bubbles :) We've had LOTs of fun with this bubble blower! The idea for this activity came from Family Fun magazine.

  2. Thats a great idea... fyi, if you punch a few holes in the straws with a pin, you can blow out but not suck in. We used straws to blow paint around the other day and i had to do that or my middle would have sucked up all the paint! (non-toxic, yes but still...YUCK!)

  5. Fabulous! I run a Toddler At Collective and wanted to do some paining using bubble blowing, but know that some of the little ones are not that skilled at it yet. this will be great, and with the inclusion of the holes in the straws safe too. Fabulous. thanks.

  8. That looks great! We'll try it, for sure. We've had lots of fun with this one: cut the bottom off of a small plastic water bottle, cover the new opening with a washcloth attached to the bottle with a rubber band. Dip washcloth end in bubble solution and blow through the mouth of the bottle. It makes long, foamy bubble snakes!

    I'm glad you're still blogging!

  9. Maiz- We tried that last summer, and poor O ended up with a mouthful of soapy foam. She might be old enough now to not suck in though, so we should give it another try :)
