Our 1st EC Success!!!

We've have been cuing and watching Ema's potty signals since she was about 3 weeks old. Today I held her over the big potty for the 1st time. O and I cued her and she pee-peed! We were so proud :) O was especially excited! Click here to learn more about EC. I highly recommend this book if you are interested in using this method with your baby. We were lucky that our local library had a copy!

  1. very cool, I give you credit for going that route!
My daughter peed on the potty at about three days old...well, truth be told I was getting her ready to put in the tub and she started to pee and I just moved her to the toilet, lol. Guess that doesn't count :)

  3. Wow! I've wanted to try that method but have wondered if it really worked. Great job! Also, we loved the Rachel Ray clip. What a great idea. My 6 year old son and 2 year old daughter will enjoy that craft.

  6. Awesome! I will have to see if my library has that book. My little Ella used the potty for the first time today too! Of course my baby turned a year old yesterday, so not quite as impressive as your baby, but I was still proud :)

  7. Congrats! I've gone the EC route with my little one too, and at 15mos she is nearly done with diapers! We didn't even start until 6mos old. I get so excited when I hear about people doing EC. I hope that you stick with it, and I hope that it inspires others to give it a try too!

  8. Congrats!! Isn't the first catch amazing. We've done this with both our kids and its been awesome. Keep it up! Are you guys doing full time EC? We're getting there slowly but surly. Right now we only go diaper free for like 3 hours a day and outside of our home we won't brave it until our littlest one is older and actually cares. :-)
