O is obsessed with the medical profession :) She loves to play "broken arm," "broken leg," "heart compressions," "blood," "having a baby," "surgery," etc. She was excited to match these body parts stickers on these body chart posters, and I'm really glad that Elliott bought this body chart set for our kids long before they were born :) O will be getting a "Doctor's Office in a Box" for Christmas, and I can't wait to see her face when she opens it!

Cute idea! What will you put in the dr. office in a box? I need to put together more themed boxes for pretend play.
ReplyDeleteMy three year old is into the human body right now. Whenever he draws a self portrait he is sure to include his intestines!
ReplyDeleteI would like to know more about the book/puzzle you have posted here. What is is called and who is the publisher. I would ask where you got it but it sounds like it was a while ago.
Nice!! My princess 31/2 it's working the human body too!! and she love a cute apron that I buyed from the Learning Resources!! It's great you can try with O!!!
ReplyDeleteHave you seen the adorable wearables for the body? Way too cute!! Everybody has a body is another great book w/ wonderful ideas.
ReplyDeleteI so enjoy see all the ways you are encouraging her imagination & desire to learn.
Thanks for sharing!
Cool chart - where did you get it?
ReplyDeleteCan you share where you got the chart and what you are putting in the Dr. office box? Thanks.
ReplyDeleteI made a Dr. Kit for a little friends birthday. The best part was a white button down shirt I purchased at Walmart in the boys section. I cut down the sleeves and bottom and hemmed to make a doctor coat. Then, my grandma has an embroidery sewing machine and she stiched Dr. _________ (name of child) on the front. It was a big hit!
ReplyDeleteThe doctor chart came from a discount book store about 7 years ago. When we return home from vacation, I'll look up the brand. I'll post about the dr kit once I finish putting it together.
ReplyDeleteLorna- I've been looking for a shirt like that at thrift stores. Thanks for the directions for turning it into a lab coat. That's just what I needed :)
I look eagerly await the name of the chart.
