This is the last Valentine's Day post, I promise! For this activity, I used a long piece of red yarn that I shaped into a heart on the rug. O REALLY enjoyed walking the line that was shaped like a heart! She's very into balancing lately, so she had fun balancing beanbags on her head as she walked. We really need to walk on the line more often!
That's one that I know we should be doing everyday, but we don't get to it much either. I think when the weather warms up, I'll have my husband make a balance beam in the back yard.
ReplyDeleteWonderful idea!
ReplyDeleteGreat idea. My kids love to balance on the edges in parking lots. I never even thought to do it at home. I know they will love this. I am not tired of the Valentine's themes at all. We went to Wal Mart this morning to pick up more heart items on the 50% off sale. I wanted to wait for 75% or higher, but I was afraid some of the items I wanted wouldn't be left. Thanks as always for the great ideas. Another one that can be so easily adapted and is also inexpensive.
ReplyDeleteI never thought to use yarn. Great idea.

ReplyDeleteI love the Montessori walking on the line activity for the coordination and control it helps develop. And your Valentine's Day version makes the activity new again! Great idea!
