Wow! How cool! Just out of curiousity ... when did you start signign to E? I want to start signing to my boy - I have read that you could start when they are 6 months old. Is that a good age or would you recommend doing it later? How many signs did you use at the beginning? Just one?
I started signing "milk" for E when she was brand new. She recognized the sign for sure by about 3 or 4 months old, and signed it herself at 7 months. I sign "more" and "eat" while she eats, and "potty" when she potties. O also loves to show her signs...thank you, please, full, baby, book, etc. It is so much fun for all of us!
That's great news :o) I loved signing with my boys too. I started when they were about 7 months and the 1st one signed back two months later. The 2nd one took much longer but later we discovered that he's allergic to milk! No wonder he didn't want to sign it.
