Laminated Park Maps

O's grandmother laminated our park maps from our trip to Disneyworld, and the girls love playing with them. Thanks, Grandmother! Because the maps are laminated, the girls can draw on them with dry erase markers. Also, we don't have to worry about them tearing.

O is studying her map.

M was excited to find Soarin' which was her favorite ride. Guh-guh showed her how to find the number and name of the ride on the side of the map and then find the number and picture of the ride on the map.

  1. Laminators are wonderful! I've been looking for one to buy, but I haven't been able to justify the ongoing cost for laminating sheets yet - especially from Africa. But there is SO much I want to do with them!

  2. I LOVE our laminator! These maps were too big for our laminator, but luckily Elliott's mom has access to a big laminator :)

  3. We live near the parks, and my daughter loves it there, too. I took one of the maps and hung it on the wall near her small table -- she loves to go over there and find Dumbo and the castle.

  4. What a lovely idea! Would have never thought of that! I don't have a map of a park where we already were ... but I got some really cute looking maps from brochures and I think they would make good "I spy ..." maps ... Will definitely try that! If I only had a laminating maching ... *sigh*

  5. this is an awesome idea i love it, my daughter NEEDS advance warning of any change in her life she is kinda OCD about her schedule lol so I think she would really enjoy maps of places we are going. This is kinda out there but did you adopt O's cousin until recently I didn't notice you talking about her too much now she is in lots of blogs so I was just curious. Thanks from the nosy one lol

  6. No, we didn't adopt my niece. Her mama would never go for that :) We've been spending a lot of time with them lately. O and M LOVE each other, so when we go back to my home town, we try to get them together as often as possible :)
