Easy Yarn Apples

O and I made yarn apples on Monday. It was fun, quick, and easy! The idea came from here, and the directions are here.

Here are our finished apples!

We are planning to use this same method to make pumpkins next week!

  4. I'm having a hard time figuring out the second brown pipe cleaner. Do you have pictures showing that part step by step? Sorry, it just isn't clear to me in the instructions.

  5. Karen- It wasn't clear to me either :) I just put it through the other side exactly like I did the stem and cut it so the end was short and looked like the bottom of an apple. Hope that helps :)

  6. Sorry Melissa I still don't get it. To me it seems that if you put the pipe cleaner through the center and tie it up (ie twist it) and then do the same again then how does it form the ball? Sorry. I'm just totally confused by it. I really want to make these but I can't seem to wrap my mind around it.

  7. Karen- Put the pipe cleaner through while it's still on the cardboard. Put one through at the top and one through at the bottom. It will make more sense once you do it. It wasn't clear to me until I actually did it :)
