My girls love "growing" animals (found at Dollar General for 1 dollar), so they were very excited to see this crab in their May Fun Box. O(4) named her "Lydia."
I thought about turning this into a measurement or science activity, but we ended up just enjoying watching Lydia grow each day. Simple and exciting!
These can be so much fun yet they are so simple. We used to have a turtle one, we took it out of the water each day and traced it onto a piece of paper to watch it grow :)

ReplyDeleteCan you give some suggestions for read aloud books. I also have a four year old that loves to be read to and we are into chapter books. What are some that you would suggest?
