Autumn Sensory Box

Here is our Autumn sensory box! It's quite a hit! I filled the box with popcorn kernels, silk leaves, wooden acorns, wooden peg people, small wooden boxes, and a small basket.

  1. Very nice! I like the idea of the popcorn. We will have to give it a go.

  4. I love all your wonderful ideas! Where do you store all your craft supplies? You must have a HUGE space. I store all my small stuff in a spice rack (you can see it by checking out the link) http://mymontessorihomeblog.blogspot.com/2009/10/craft-storage.html
but I would love to see what you do for all the big stuff!

  5. Montessori Moments- I WISH I had a lot of storage space! Our house is very small and storage space is almost nonexistent. It's very frustrating :(

  6. I agree with Montessori Moments, I have always wondered where you store all of your school stuff as that is a huge dilemma for us.

  7. Thank you so much for sharing this idea! What size of wooden peg people do you use with O? DO you order them from Casey's Wood? Thank you, Miri

  8. I LOVE this idea! right now in my class our sensory table has pine needles, pine cones, gourds and leaves. I wanted to add corn husk or dried corn on the cob of some sort but haven't found what i was looking for, and this is it! I think I will go buy some cheap popcorn tonight :) I will also use this for future work, we often use rice, beans, oatmeal, cereal and so on but never before have we used corn!

  9. I was looking for dried corn too for a similar sensory tub, but I may just have to go with popcorn! Yours looks like fun!
