O and I made tiny angel ornaments from Non Dairy Diary today as our advent activity. I actually printed these angels last year, but didn't have time to make them. They turned out so cute, and O loves them.
O cut out the circles, and I cut the head and wing cuts out with an x-acto knife. We worked together to fold the angels. This was a fun, simple activity that went along nicely with one of our Christmas books.
Cute angels! Wish we had a tree big enough to put ornaments like that on (life in small Japanese apartments *sigh*). If O is four, I bet she'd enjoy making origami message stars like the ones my kids learned to make at kindergarten. Very simple, yet geometrically interesting--three folded triangles become a star, one of which opens so you can write a message inside. Done with gold or silver foil paper, they make cute present name tags, too! (I have a video up if you can't figure them out from my description :-))
Merry Christmas! *Love* all your darling Christmas ideas! I'm definitely looking for christmas fabric--my husband freaks out over wrapping paper...;-))
