Walking the Line...Valentine's Day Style :)

This is the last Valentine's Day post, I promise! For this activity, I used a long piece of red yarn that I shaped into a heart on the rug. O REALLY enjoyed walking the line that was shaped like a heart! She's very into balancing lately, so she had fun balancing beanbags on her head as she walked. We really need to walk on the line more often!

  1. That's one that I know we should be doing everyday, but we don't get to it much either. I think when the weather warms up, I'll have my husband make a balance beam in the back yard.

  2. Great idea. My kids love to balance on the edges in parking lots. I never even thought to do it at home. I know they will love this. I am not tired of the Valentine's themes at all. We went to Wal Mart this morning to pick up more heart items on the 50% off sale. I wanted to wait for 75% or higher, but I was afraid some of the items I wanted wouldn't be left. Thanks as always for the great ideas. Another one that can be so easily adapted and is also inexpensive.

  5. I love the Montessori walking on the line activity for the coordination and control it helps develop. And your Valentine's Day version makes the activity new again! Great idea!
