that I've decided not to delete this blog. I enjoy writing the blog, and it seems that you enjoy reading it, so it just didn't make sense to let one person's bad choices ruin all of that. I've disabled the right click option, which doesn't prevent people from stealing my images and content, but it does make it more difficult. I'm also being more careful about not showing my girl in the pics. Thanks to all of you for your support and kind comments!
I have lots of posts saved in draft, so the posts will keep coming for a while. However, I have a feeling things will slow down a bit as my pregnancy progresses :) My hands and feet are SO swollen, and breathing is not easy :) Only 8 more weeks...
Yeah!!!!!!! I am so happy you are still going to be blogging. I was a preschool teacher before I became a mom and my daughter and I try so many of your ideas :) Thank you for staying on!
ReplyDeleteSuzanne
happy that you will stay. love seeing all of your ideas!
ReplyDeleteWoohoo! I'm very glad to hear that you will not be deleting your blog or stopping posting.
ReplyDeleteI hope that you continue to post (as you feel like it) towards the end of your pregnancy and when your newest little one is born...please tell me you'll share little baby pictures? Even if they don't include faces! Newborn pictures are sooo beautiful!
That's wonderful news!
ReplyDeleteI love reading your blog. You come up with such wonderful ideas to do with your daughter. It is very insprirational to me.
how exactly do you disable the right click on pics? that would be great to know!
ReplyDeleteYay, I'm glad you're still blogging as you're so inspirational (although I have no idea how you find the time to be so organised!).
ReplyDeleteYes, could yu please tell us how you disable the right click option? It'd be great too know.
Thanks.
I am glad you decided to stay with it and it certainly made me sit back and think a bit about the photos I post - I too started out not showing Ebi-kuns face but slowly let it slip.
ReplyDeletePlease share with us the no right click click thing, I have had a look through the settings on blogger but couldn't find anything.
cheers, and good luck with the rest of your pregnancy, Ebi-kun was a summer baby and I was swollen like a whale by the time he arrived, hmm, you probably didn't want to hear that did you? At least you can go and have a paddle in your lake :o)
Thank you for not delet the blog... we all have the same problems with our photos, I think...
ReplyDeleteWishing you well,
S.
I'm happy that you're still here too Melissa :) The world would be a lonelier place without your blog!
ReplyDeleteMay I ask - how did you do that right-click thing? In blogger? I'd be interested in doing in too.
Good luck over the next few weeks & enjoy that beach fun :)
YYYYYYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!! I get so much inspiration from you and your blog. I'm so glad you are going to be around for a while longer. I started to panic and go through your old posts and jot down notes for activities to do with my girl just in case you departed (which I would have fully understood!).
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad one person's bad choice did not spoil it for you...or us. BTW I think you handled the whole thing really well - dignified, eloquent and measured. What a great teacher you are in so many ways (to O and to us!!). Thanks once again!
Oh and good luck with the rest of the pregnancy.
Thaannnnkkkkkk you!!!! I'm so happy that you will stay!!! I'm just getting started this journey and life style, And your blog it's soooooooooo inspiring!! Thanks for staying, and don't leave us!! Thanks for teaching!! and for teaching us!!!
ReplyDeleteSincerely,
Karen www.miescuelitamontessori.blogpot.com
I'm so glad you decided to keep blogging. I check in almost every day and you have such great ideas! Good luck with the end of your pregnancy :-)
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad that you decided to keep blogging! I just love all of your creative, yet simple ideas! I especially love how you handmake so many of your 'toys' for O, and how you use nature (shells, etc) in your projects to combine love for nature with a love for art! I hope you have a great rest of your pregnancy and a wonderful birth!

Yaaahoooo!!! I'm glad you've decided to stay on, though I would have completely understood if you had. I started to panic, as well, thinking I needed to print out all my favorite activities before it was too late! :) Excited for your new arrival (September?)...several gals I know are expecting that month, too...including my sis. Thanks again for all you do and all you enable us to do with our little ones!
ReplyDeleteDisabling right click does NOT just diable right click on the pictures, but on viewing comments, following links to other sites, etc.
ReplyDeleteIf you disable right click, and your user does not know how to re-enable them (which is fairly easy in Firefox or Netscape and more difficult in IE) anyone going to your blog and wanting to follow a link will be forced to go away from your blog and then go "backward" or retype the address to your blink and re-find where they are in reading posts, etc.
A much better way, that keeps the user-friendliness of the blog (by not forcing readers to leave your blog everytime they follow a link) is to watermark your pictures. I'm sure it is possible to remove the watermark, but it takes a lot more effort, and is likely to mess up the picture as well, than bypassing a right click bypass.
Oh blessed be!
ReplyDeleteI am so happy to read this post.
I will send you comforting energy M, take care of YOU my friend. Posts, no posts, you and your family will remain in my heart. You continue to be a daily inspiration to those of us who parent the Montessori way. Thank you for all you've shared.
In PEACE
Jennifer
