A Gingerbread Haunted House

We had a lot of messy fun decorating this Halloween Gingerbread House. I bought the kit last year after Halloween, and I love that the house was already put together! All we had to do was mix up the icing by adding water and decorate with the candy provided. This was fun and messy!

O had fun decorating the house, but she REALLY had fun mixing the orange and black icing together and smearing it all over her hands :)

  2. Great idea and what fun! How did you get around the early use by date? I guess that usually you don't end up actually eating the house anyway so it's ok, or did you just manage to find one with a really long date from last year? I love your blog by the way - I have no idea how you find the time to do all those wonderful things but I'm glad you do and I'm glad you share with us all!

  3. I have no idea what the date on it is. We won't be eating it, so it doesn't matter :) After Halloween we'll break it with a hammer for the squirrels to enjoy.

  4. Oh, I did wonder... and thinking about it, the one I did for Christmas a few years ago didn't get eaten, but then that was pre-children ;)
