First let me say I LOVE reading your blog. You are so creative and I love reading your ideas for crafts....which brings me to my question....do you have any craft ideas for an old red carpet/rug? I recently bought a new rug and I have the old rug (9feet X 11feet). I hate to just throw it away....any ideas on fun things I can do with a 2.5 year old and a big rug? Thanks for blogging, Beth
I have these same cards in my classroom and we've been using them all month. This week, as an extension, several of the children drew pictures of each of the 6 steps, and then copied the words underneath. One drawing and one word per page. Then, we stapled them and made a cover page for their book. They LOVED it!
We did some pumpkin things this week also. I saw those on that site, did you have to pay for them? We found a free life cycle sequencing cards to color and cut and did those instead. I wish I could remember the web site to pass it on!

The Lowry Family- Maybe you could make it into a game rug...paint a hopscotch game on it and maybe a checkerboard...
Laura- That's a great idea! I'll have to remember that when O is a little older.
Erica- The pictures were free!
Have ya'll read the book Pumpkin Jack? It would fit perfectly with this activity.
Thanks Melissa! That is a great idea about the checkers and game mat!
