Knit in bed...until you fall asleep. that's what I do...(we just won't talk about how I mis-read the pattern and had to rip out rows n rows...) I'm not making as many as last year...but I do love giving homemade things...
I think it keeps a little of the magic in Christmas to go with all handmade gifts. I hate how commercial it has become!! And where is the magic without feeling like a little Christmas elf and working on all of those well-intentioned projects late into the night in December? ;)
haha! i said the same thing last year! and i still have yet to start on making gifts!
I said I was going to finish by Thanksgiving this year too. I am far from done, but a lot further ahead with my gift making than I was this time last year. Take the nap... sleepy crafting leads to grumpy crafting. :)
I'm with you. I'm working on knitting hats/mittens/washcloths for gifts and sewing felt food for our kiddos. A little overwhelming with all of the other commitments of this time of year. But totally worth it to give something homemade. :)
I totally understand! I was up till 2:00 am working on super hero capes etc! :)I don't make all our gifts either...maybe next year, but I need to start in Jan! :P
:) Get a nap in...everything works out better when well rested! :) We're going to attempt to make a few gifts homemade this year (this coming from the person who is totally not crafty!!!)...some wooden swords, wooden magic wands, and maybe some fairy bells and streamers! Oh My!!! I LOVE the idea of it being a homemade Christmas but hands down you woman are amazing who do this every year! :) Keep inspiring us not so crafty people! hehehe!By the way...I just made the homemade ring toss you posted about a long time ago...the kids and I had a blast! :) Loved it! Frugal+Fun=PERFECT!!!!
We're making handmade goodies this year for Christmas and I know how you feel. I constantly ask myself which I want more, to be finished or sleep.
