O is really into learning her letters and letter sounds lately, so she loves all alphabet activities. Luckily, my mom had this fun letter activity that she let us borrow :) I put out 7 letters at a time and handed O the little pictures to match to the letters. The pictures are fabric and they stick to the letters using velcro. This was a lot of fun! The letters are made by Lakeshore, but I was unable to find them on their website, so they may not make them anymore.

What a great idea. LOVE the big letters...let me know if someone finds where they are still available for sale, please. THANKS!
ReplyDeleteJust found your site looking for a coupon code for Let's Explore. Can't wait to dig around...we homeschool, too!
Have a GREAT weekend!
You should do this activity spelling out Obama! ;)
ReplyDeleteThese letters are great! I had thought about sewing some plush letters - I'm sure they wouldn't look quite as good as these though.
ReplyDeleteI just noticed that you have over 300 followers! That is amazing - but I totally see why - you have so many great ideas. You should totally do a book!
Those letters are great! I whole alphabet shouldn't be too hard to make. Then, O could practice spelling words when she is ready :)
ReplyDeleteThey look like they would not be that difficult to make by hand. Just time consuming
ReplyDeleteThey don't make them anymore. :( My MIL sews... perhaps she might consider making something like this as a gift for my little guy? Thanks for the idea! This is great!
ReplyDeleteA few years ago I bought some letters similar to these through "Books are Fun." They are a company that would come each month to the school where I taught and set up books and other products in our teacher work room. I don't know if they still sell them.
