"Hand" Painted Kitchen Towels

Photo Sharing - Video Sharing - Photo Printing

These towels are another of our handmade (well...handpainted, since I bought the towels) gifts. O enjoyed making the handprint, but she wasn't interested in decorating the tree. After weeks of trying to get her interested in decorating the tree, I finally did it myself :) I hope our family and friends like these special keepsake Christmas kitchen towels :)

  1. Love it! How did you make the lettering so nice and neat? I will have to remember to try this next year with the babeola.

  2. Oops! I should have said...the message was already sewn on the towels. All we did was add the tree :)

  3. I love this idea. Could you please tell me what kind of paint to use if I wanted to do this? Would any washable art paint work or do I need a special kind?

  4. I used acrylic craft paint and added fabric medium. You add 2 parts medium to 1 part paint, and you can find both in the craft section at Walmart :)

  5. I would love to to this with my boys. Could you share where you found these towels? I keep finding towels that have too much texture.

  6. Jessica- I found the towels at the Dollar Tree. They had the trim and the wording on them already, and I was surprised to find them there. However, they aren't ver good quality. They are a bit crooked :)
