Setting Up Our Nativity

For our 1st advent activity we set up O's nativity scene. She was excited and has enjoyed playing with the set. She insists that one of the shepards is a nurse and that baby Jesus is sick :) We also started painting handmande gifts as part of our 1st day activities. I'll post more about this later.

  1. I LOVE LOVE your nativity... very sad that it is actually getting harder and harder to find nativities in Australia.. I got another one this year at the one dollar store that was selling them in my area (and I checked out a few)I have a few as my girls love to play with them and sometimes the ceramic gets broken.. wooden ones are very hard to find here...

we love our fisher price one.. it plays silent night when you press the angel down on the roof (I dont have any battery toys except this one, which only comes out one month a year so I suppose i justified it :)

  3. Thanks! I love the nativity, too. I bought it from One Step Ahead. http://www.onestepahead.com/catalog/product.jsp?productId=535215&cmSource=Search
It's made by Woodland Fantasies, and it's definitely worth the price in my opionion. It's very well-made. It was O's special gift for her 1st Christmas, and I hope she'll keep it for her children and grandchildren one day :)

  5. Wow, I can't believe it. We have EXACTLY the same nativity! (And we live in Germany.) My daughter got it from her grandparents last year. I find it quite nice because she can play with it. Our actual nativity which I inherited from my grandparents is really old and very fragile. So she can't really play with it. But the one she got - it's great. Not fragile at all. I often read her the christmas story and she plays the story along ...
